David Guetta - Turn Me On (Ft. Nicki Minaj)

The infamous "Barbie" is the subject of todays post. Coming from David Guetta's brand new album "Nothing But The Beat" Nicki Minaj proves to be one of the most versatile female rappers out in the game. Furthering her domination in the pop realm, she's teamed up with Guetta on this track which see's her singing rather than rapping. On an interview with Billboard, David Guetta said: "I am so proud of what Nicki did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing like—oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don’t know her like this" "And we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it." In the end, the final product does does Ms. Minaj a decent justice. The song debuted at 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 despite not having a release. I'm predicting the future here, but I am going to highly assume that this song will be released as a single from the album, as it's certainly one of the highlights.  Take a listen:

Ciara - Work (Ft. Missy Elliot)

Our new song comes from the one and only Ciara from her 3rd studio album "Fantasy Ride". The song "Work" features long time collaborator Missy Elliot marking it as there third together. Produced by Danjahandz, it once was considered for the lead single for the album, though it ended up being the overall fifth and final single from the critically underrated album. Seeing it, personally, as her best, it provided material that pleased internationally. Still maintaining the same crunk vibe the album boasted a more futuristic R&B vibe incorporating different elements of syth and electropop. With the album she wanted "to take fans on a musical journey" creating her superhero alter-ego "Super C". The album did not live up to it's expectations with the only real hit coming from the Grammy nominated hit "Love Sex Magic" featuring Justin Timberlake. Always seeing the best in every project I chose this song because it was the best song of the entire project and gives a good summary and feel of what the album truly was like. Take a listen:

Britney Spears - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These) Interlude (Live @ The Circus)

Today I'd like to share a video that I first saw attending Britney Spears 2009 Tour "The Circus Starring Britney Spears" in support of her "Circus" album. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a secret love for Britney Spears, but certainly in a humble manor. The video has a very interesting concept, featuring Marilyn Manson's version of "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)", Britney is seen dancing in and orgy like masquerade party. The video as a whole is sexy, dark, and highly symbolic. Probably one of the biggest visual statements she's made since her media "comeback". There is no high quality version of this video, other than a short snippet that MTV released, and the tour, which was rumored to have been professionally recorded, remains unreleased. Meaning the only people who have seen this video are those who attended the show. Also, If i'm not mistaken, that the proposed plan was for Britney to sing “My Prerogative” in this scene, but she had refused to sing the lyrics “I don’t need permission, make my own decisions,” resulting in the conception of the Marilyn Manson cover. A very bold clip indeed, you can check it out below:

Hope you enjoy, and lemme know what you think.

Swedish House Mafia - Leave The World Behind (Ft. Deborah Cox)

In celebration of my Ultra Music Festival Tickets being purchased this week, I'm gonna post this video. This song was one of the first real dance songs that I heard before attending my first Ultra and the video is just so emotionally fitting. It literally makes you feel like you're there in Miami with them. I  get goose bumps from it.  It's just a nice feel good video and I would encourage everyone to check out Ultra Music Festival in Miami this upcoming year. It's a life changing experience.

Example - Changed The Way You Kiss Me

Our new song comes from a new obsession of mine. Born Elliot John Gleave, he took the nickname Example because of his initials being e.g. which is also a common respentation for the Latin phrase "exempli gratia", which means "for example". Native to the U.K., he released his debut album "What We Made" back in 2007 and second "Won't Go Quietly" last year.
His new album"Playing In The Shadows" was just released earlier this month and debuted at number one. Preceded by the U.K. number 1lead single "Changed The Way You Kiss Me" it is Example's first n umber 1 single coming from his now first number 1 album. With Example's fresh new gritty deep electronic sound it opens and sets the mood for the album which is pretty fantastic (Stay tuned for an album post). Certainly worthy of all the success, he is soon to embark on an arena tour overseas and is now currently promoting his newest single "Natural Disaster" featuring Laidback Luke. Now check it out, it's sure to not disappoint.

Joachim Garraud - Everybody In The Place (AutoErotique Remix)

I've got a killer new song today coming from the Canadian duo who go by the name of AutoErotique with the original song coming from French DJ Joachim Garraud. Both known for there originality they fuse together to create monstrosity of a techno jam. As AutoErotique's music catalog continue to grow, so does there exposure, reaching more and more fans of original artists with there sick remixes. I fell down the hole after first listening to there remix of Benny Benassi's "House Music" and this only reassured the fact that these guys are gonna blow up. They've got a lane of there own with this and they could potentially see it to success. On the other hand Joachim Garraud has a very original concept with his alien invasion theme. It's refreshing to see good music in good talent and that is something heavily prevelent in the electronic industry, but they are a much less harsh than the more cliche pop genre. Nevertheless this song is fire. Check it out.
